The New Normal

I started in photography before zoom lenses so the ‘kit’ zoom tht comes with today’s DSLRs, while not the best of lenses, it still pretty good. The 50mm Canon’s on offer haven’t really tempted me but the new 40mm pancake caught my eye because it also makes my Canon 600D much more portable. The crop sensor on my 600D means that it is a long normal – about 64mm – so a longish normal or very short telephoto. It feels pretty normal to me and it looks nice and sharp too. This video is not of the usual commuter train, but rather the longer distance train that runs down to Bunbury through Armadale.
