Taken in the Roleystone bush where most of my videos of the bush have been shot. The fire started on Sunday around midday from sparks given off by an angle grinder. The very dry late summer bush and exceptionally strong winds wiped out 80 homes. No one died thanks to the efficient work of the State Emergency Service. A friend got an automated call customized to a few streets in her area telling her to evacuate. The fire brigade saver her house and those of her neighbors – because they had a strategically positioned firebreak and the wind didn’t turn against them. This video was shot two days later close by.
