Indeed. I was doing the stream when the girls and dogs arrived. The camera was sitting on the ground on the tiny Gorillapod. I asked. “Do you want to cross?” And the rest is as you see it. I’ll do the stream by itself – I got a minute of it just before they came. It is quite different of course and much more what I usually aim for.

I think it changed from being about the stream to being about the dogs. I believe W.C. Fields refused to be in movies with children or animals since they upstaged everything else.

The cause wan’t entirely clear at the time as I recall. I think sometimes it might have been droplets hitting the surface – there are ripples sometimes – but mostly the wind. What I do remember clearly is that the fitful and mysterious nature of the movement took my eye.

my new favorite. It’s a still picture and then the leaf pops in above and you realize your watching a scene unfold.

I think that is right about the way the leaves move – it is like water and particularly true of gum trees. Are you inclined to do some trees too? We could do a series on a theme. Or do you have a different suggestion? Trying to keep this collaboration going and am open to anything that works. The dynamic is different at a great distance than when we are each doing our own thing in the same place.

Ahhhhhh. Peaceful. This reminds me of why we like fish tanks and ocean sounds. It’s soothing, but in a visual way.

Sir, I would have you know that I am a very, very clean Cat. I do object to my ablutions being filmed. And to release it on the internet and I thought you were a friend. I do allow the Bear to catch me occasionally and do have a need to clean my self well and if that makes me O C D WELL Rodant T

I am guessing the delicate movement in the water is created by the wind. A water reflection of wind?

I put the gorillapod on the ground so the Xacti was no more than 8 inches above the ground. I actually put the camera down there becaue the angle worked for the shed – from a still photograph point of view. I was probably going to zoom in to make the goats eating hay a bit larger when the star stuck her head into frame right. I’m learning all sorts of things about tripods and what works with moving images.
